This place is not just a music store, it represents an idea of elegance and quality, long lost in todays world of 'large supermarket chains,' where the emphasis is not always on the customer.



Morey's is certainly a fantastic store, but that is just the beginning. Of course they service all of the basic needs of the beginner through the pro player, including instrument repair spanning from Guitar through, wind, amplified, and band instruments. A great and knowledgeable staff, friendly, personable, very awesome place.



My first comment read; 'This place is not just a music store.' Morey's Music represents the last of the true independent. The large supermarket of stores you hear about on the radio, may sound cool, but almost all lack the personal touch Morey's has always maintained, throughout over 80 years of being a family owned business. Morey's has RESPECT - TRUE RESPECT for the instruments, the music, and the players. Many is the time I've gone into a large 'Center,' of guitars, only to find many damaged instruments.



Sadly, I as a pro, can see the defects. Most, if not all basic players, or lay-persons would not see or notice the defects which can easily affect playability. Playability is CRITICAL, as a guitar, or other instrument which has playability issues, easily can 'dampen.' the enthusiasm and desire of a new player to continue, and/or enjoy his or her instrument. At Morey's, I do not think this is a possibility.



Also, at the large stores, the sales people, are just that. Not experts, necessarily, but the pressure on them is to sell, first and foremost. At Morey's, they are more interested in helping you to find an instrument that you will be happy with, and grow musically.



In short, Morey's is the Real Deal, one of the very last, family owned, with pride, independent music stores still left. I cannot emphasize how special this store is. Go in, check them out.

What a great Store! A pleasant ambiance, friendly service and the best selection of violins in town. They also have the largest selection of Sheet Music in the area. I highly recommend this Music Store!
