This was my first time bringing my adult cat into a Vet, and it was by far the best vet experience I have ever had! I've raised 5 cats and 3 dogs, and for the most part every vet experience has been okay, but this time I was blown away at the kindness of the staff and their expert ability to handle my cat! She screamed and bit (as most cats do) but the vet as well as the vet tech we're amazing at handling her with compassion and care in a high stress moment!

I would highly recommend Kipling Veterinary Hospital & Welness Center for anyone looking to find a new vet, first time pet owners, and especially first time pet visits. The staff we're friendly and very patient with my questions concerning understanding the vaccination processes as well as the next steps in caring for my cat. They were extremely informative and made sure that I walked away with a complete understanding as to how the vaccination process worked as well as how future procedures would unfold.

By far the BEST veterinary experience I or any of my fabulous furry companions have ever experienced. I will be bringing in the rest of the crew to this establishment and I will be recommending Kipling Veterinary Hospital & Welness center to everyone that I know!

Very poor vet practice

Very disappointing poor service vets are rude we took our dog in when she was sick we did not have an appointment and they refused to even see her. She ultimately died no thanks to these rude and very unprofessional vets at this practice They told us to go to the emergency vet clinic in Wheat ridge. We had been going to this practice since they opened and up to this point we had thought they were good but this just ruined them for us we would never go back there and have been telling our friends what a terrible practice they have. I hope they go out of business.

We recently moved to Lakewood ...

We recently moved to Lakewood and searched reviews for local vet clinics to take our dogs to. This place had excellent reviews, so we booked an appointment to get rabies and dystemper boosters, a heartworm test, new heartworm medication, and Jefferson County tags for our two dogs. We waited almost 20 minutes after arrival for the receptionist to get off the phone before being acknowledged, even though we were the first customers of the day. Then, after we met with the vet, she did a subpar examination of the dogs (which we did not request), and missed noticeable lumps on one our Staffordshire Terrier's side. She also did not check out my German Shepherd's mammory glands (which were swollen as we pointed out) but insisted that it was normal without even looking at the area. When it was all said and done, we were charged $515 for this routine visit!! Rather than giving us the 5 in 1 booster that we had asked for, the vet administered two different shots to each dog and charged $40 per shot. We were shocked to pay that much for vaccinations. Further, now my dog has an abcess developing from where the rabies vaccine was administered since this vaccination was different from what we requested. This place has a nice location, but expect to pay double what you would elsewhere!!

SuperVetClinic

Great experience with the veterinarians at this clinic! Always love on my dogs and easy to get an appointment with. Also great at explaining my options when treatments were optional so that we didn't feel pressured into spending money. We have a cocker spaniel with some health problems and through multiple surgeries and treatments, she always recovered nicely.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I highly recommend Kipling Veterinary Hospital to anyone who considers their pets to be part of their family. The doctors and staff here are incredibly competent and compassionate. Dr. MacKenzie has a knack for diagnosing and treating difficult cases, and her love of animals is very apparent. Dr. O'Connell is also absolutely wonderful, and her medical knowledge and compassion is very obvious. The two of them have literally saved my pets' lives several times over the years. If you are looking for a high-quality, compassionate, reliable, and reasonable veterinary clinic to take care of your furry four-legged members of your family, THIS IS IT!

CAUTION

My experience with this clinic was TERRIBLE. Please think twice before making an appointment. I took my cat in to refill her Thyroid medication and they suggested they should clean her ears because she looked to have an ear infection. I gave them the go ahead. After they were done, I took my cat home (after paying $203 for the ear cleaning). I woke up the next morning to a cat who could not walk or stand. Knowing this is not normal, I called the vet. Had NO return phone call after a few attempts. So I took her in. They checked her over then admitted, it was due to an error on their part when they cleaned out her ears. I needed to now give her medication to help correct their mistake. They told me that it could last for two to three weeks. OK Great now what.... they charged me and additional $79 for the office visit, with NO exception, just to tell me they screwed up. No apology, hugh lack of customer service, and NO compassion for my cat. Please please be careful if you use this vet.
