Dr. Borkert used to be a carin...

Dr. Borkert used to be a caring, concerned doctor. Unfortunately his business concerns now outway his physician concerns. He wil hold your prescriptions hostage if you question him. Find another PCP.

Let me recount my reasons for not recommending Dr. Borkert.

He misdiagnosed me with bone cancer...turns out it was my taking a calcium supplement prior to a blood test.

Then he claimed that he could not give me a referal to Cyberknife stating that facility was not in his pod. My call to PHP reveled that yes Cyberknife was in his pod, as it was the last two times and that the referal would be approved.

Next was his insistence that I see him for a diabetes physical and postpone my cancer checkup. I saw my priorities in the reverse order. Dr Borkert held my prescription refills as ransom until I complied and when I would not HE QUIT as my PCP...turns out I was right My cancer checkup revealed new tumors which are now being treated...The diabetes blood test showed all chemistry within acceptable ranges.

The "Golden Rule" seems to have been rejected.

I do want to thank Dr. Borkert for forcing me to do what I should have done earlier. I'm happy that I now have a concerned PCP who will give me required referrals and prescriptions. and Dr. Borkert is happy to get rid of me.

My daughter went to Mile High for a high school physical. We found out she had Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome. She had surgery within a week. Her pediatrician never found it in 17 years of seeing her. They saved her life. What an incredible group of doctors. Thank you.

They are always professional and kind. I have been going here since moving to Colorado (3 yrs now) and eventhough I have moved to Castle Rock from Lakewood, I will not change my doctor. I have never waited even 5 minutes as they are always on time and do allow enough time for each visit to address any and all questions / concerns. If I need to see the doctor and mine is not available, they always work me in to see one of the other doctors. I would, and I have many times, highly recommend Mile High Family Medicine.

Don't let the beautiful office...

Don't let the beautiful office and the friendly front desk staff fool you. I have been searching for a physician who would actually treat me like a human being. My visit to Mile High Family Medicine left me wondering if I should even continue on this search. I will not point at the specific physician I saw, however, all I can say is I cannot believe how poorly I was treated by the physician who was assigned to me. I don't care that your a doctor, leave your ego behind as you walk into the room and treat me with respect. I'm not going to write a sob story or an essay about my visit. I'm going to leave it with this and never visit this office again.

Never Again

I can't believe how I was treated by the doctor I saw. Bed side manner out the window!! I will tell all people I know NOT to go to this family practice. I had never been treated so cold by any phsician in my whole life. Who is paying who?? I sure did not get my money's worth. Doctors should be warn and have an attitude that they give a care

and since it's just the patient and he doctor in the room then shouldn't the doctor's whole focus be on the patient and not acting as if he or she can't waite to leave the room? What has happend to the oath doctor's take? I guess that is conciderd just a "formality" to get through medical school! My mother did not deserve to be treated the way she was at all! It dosen't matter which doctor it was because if one doctor acts like that then it reflects on how the practice is being ran. The doctor should have listend to my mother instead of ignoring her questions and acting like she was not important!! I can't believe there are doctors that rude! I know I would not want not one of those doctors from Mile High Practice to be my or my mom's doctor especially in an emergencey! I gave the doctors a chance and then I took my mother to see those doctor's and I regret putting her through that unnessesary ordeal. Never Again and Unbelieveable Awful Practice! One thing I can say about Mile High Practice...You doctors are not GOD! time for a reality check perhaps?
