Provided by YP.comThis complex deserves 0 stars. We moved out of this complex because during routine mantainence (which we were not informed of) they left our apartment door open. Not only did they let our kitten out (we found her hiding under the dumpster on the other side of the complex) but they left us vulnerable to robbery or worse. The staff literally did not care when I informed them of this mistake and were unwilling to help us look for the cat.
Don't even bother looking at this place, they will take your money and offer you nothing.

Provided by YP.comWARNING, this is a terrible company and apartment complex to get involved with. After submitting my application, the staff took 4 full days to get back with me regarding the approval of my application, which surpassed my requested move in date, leaving me to find alternate housing until I heard from them, at their convenience. After informing the staff that I decided to go in another direction, they advised me that my $300 was non-refundable because I was out of the 48 hour period. They took NO accountability for their lack of response or communication and now I am out this money due to their unprofessional demeanor. After discussing with the staff's supervisor, I was still not assisted in a professional manner, as she seemed to have no ability or desire to provide quality customer service. This company has proven to live up to their extremely poor reviews online, I only wished I would've listened first instinct and NOT gotten involved with One Belmar Place.

Provided by YP.comThe place is a dump, the staff is horribly rude, trash compactor is constantly overflowing, my neighbors leave their trash in the hallway for weeks sometimes and the office won't do anything about it., flies have infested the rotting wood on the outside of the windows, and get into your apartment through holes in the window boxes. I regret moving into this place and can't wait for my lease to end!

Provided by YP.comThis would be a 0 if I could give it. Stay AWAY! Horrible! The walls are paper thin, you can here everything, especially Wadsworth! We had to have maintenance in our apartment every other week for something broken or worn down (Cabinets won't close, washing machine overflowing, rusty toilet broken pieces, etc...) They change the rules on you whenever they want with little notice (implementation of parking passes, oh, and you need to have permission for a guest, one per apartment at a time! Change the hours of the clubhouse whenever). The prices go up a good amount every year and God help you if you don't give them a 60 day notice when you leave, even if your lease is up. And the staff are some of the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. No one is on the same page, they guess at an answer to a question but don't take responsibility if they give you a wrong answer! This place is a joke. Stay away from Carmel in entirely!

Provided by YPmobileThese apartments are horrible! There are nasty birds that nest on the side of the building every summer, they literally poop everywhere! Theres also dog poop everywhere, they said they had security patrol but I NEVER see them. There is always people in the pool/hot tub area after hours being extremely loud, the pool is often closed due to vandalism. And the leasing agents are plain rude. They also make it hard if you have visitors, example I had a relative visiting she wanted to use the gym the next day I recieved a letter on my door stating that she wasnt allowed to use the gym unless I was there funny thing was that one of the leasing agents mother was there usi g the gym the leasing agent was not there with her mother. I hate this pkace cant wait til my lease is up!!!!

Provided by YP.comI’ve lived here for about a year and a half and have both positive and negative things to say – Although as of late, the negatives have begun to far exceed the positive. The negatives:
1) THE BIRDS!!! This place is like a Hitchcock movie. Birds (extremely loud ones) have nested in the eaves of the buildings and they are multiplying like rabbits. They wake us up at about 5 am EVERYDAY and crap about 20 times daily on mine and all the other resident’s cars. One of our neighbors said he brought it to the attention of the office and they told him the birds were endangered or something and there was nothing they could do about it. I’ll tell you this – if they are indeed “endangered,” then One Belmar Place is singlehandedly replenishing the population, as I see about 500 every day. If they are genuinely endangered and nothing can be done, they should at the very least give everyone free car washes, and, I think, let people break their leases. It is THAT MUCH of a noise/filth problem, and had I known, I’d never have moved in.
2) PARKING. Forget about finding a spot anytime after 6 pm. Not to mention, the office decides about every other month to enforce/not enforce parking and it is up to the resident to read their minds as to whether enforced parking is in effect in any given week. They’ll leave notes claiming that everyone needs parking permits, and then they don’t enforce it and finding spots continues to be a struggle. Then, after NOT enforcing for 8 or 9 months, they decide to plaster everyone’s cars with non-removable stickers threatening to tow if they are not moved immediately.
3) DOG POO – I completely understand and agree that residents are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. However, it would help if management actually stocked the waste baggie disposals throughout the complex. The last two times we received reminder notes about picking up after dogs, there were empty bag dispensers EVERYWHERE.
Those are my biggest gripes thus far – I will, however give credit where credit is due – and that credit goes mostly to the guys who come fix stuff when it breaks. I’ve always had good experiences in this regard – they respond promptly, are cordial, and get the job done for the most part before it becomes a huge issue.
Would I renew my lease or recommend this place to a friend? No, I wouldn’t, and this is primarily due to the birds and the parking.
