Buyer Beware !!! Our sales experience was fine, which is usually the case, the service side of Windish Rv is horrible!!

From delivery day to addressing warranty items 1 year later at either location, Lakewood and Longmont, service level, honesty and follow through has proven to be something missing terribly. With their demonstrated level of service, I cannot recommend them to anyone nor will we continue to have service performed by the Windish service group.

While I got a decent pre-owned 5th wheel at a relatively fair price (the only reason for 2 stars rather than 1), Windish did not follow through as promised. I bought with the intention of living in the unit immediately and through the winter. I was assured by the sales person that the trailer would be delivered de-winterized and very thoroughly checked over to ensure that everything worked properly (this was especially important since I have no way of moving the trailer for repair). I did receive a "walk-through" at purchase, but not knowing much at all about these things, I didn't know enough to know that the employee had very little knowledge of the trailer I bought (he failed to mention several key features). Not only did Windish fail to de-winterize, but they also failed to catch a water pump issue and a thermostat problem. Had they gone through the trailer as thoroughly as promised, these things should have been caught. I called a number of times to address the issues with Windish, but after failing to reach a live person I resorted to email. The first person that responded seemed mostly annoyed that a 'service' issue had been direct to him. Te second person to call appeared helpful up until I explained that I had no way of transporting the trailer to Windish for service. I was told she would talk to the GM and call me back. It had been two weeks and I've heard nothing.

Windish RV has the WORST service i have every come across. Not only do they not call there customers back, or communicate their progress with there customers, it takes the warranty department months to finish work. We bought our 2014 Kodiak Highbreed Camper from Windish at the 2014 RV show...when we went to pick it up it was the wrong floor plan. Then after having it home for a weekend, we realized that the shower door was never installed right, the couch arm was broken, and the zipper on the back bed window fell off in my son's hand. We called Windish to have them repair the camper, they told us to bring it back and they would fix it. After a month and a half they still had not touched it. We went and picked it back up because we had camping trips planned. After the camping season was over we dropped it off again the first week of October 2014. I JUST NOW GOT A CALL THAT IT IS DONE! TODAY IS JANUARY 16, 2015. Not once did they reach out to us to let us know how the progress was going. We had to call them! I WOULD NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! We love our trailer but there are other dealers in the area that will treat you like they want your business!

We purchased our 5th wheel from Windish in Lakewood. The sales people were very helpful and knowledgeable. They had quite a few 5th wheels to choose from. If our experience had stopped with the sales department it would have been a very positive experience. They seemed genuinely interested in our getting the perfect 5th wheel and paying the best price possible. However, as with any new RV purchase there will be issues that will need to be fixed. This is where the positive experience with Windish STOPS. Although the 5th wheel is completely under warranty, it felt like they would do whatever they can to avoid doing any warranty work. After having the 5th wheel for 2 days we found some little things that needed to be repaired. We were told it would be at least 3 weeks before they could get the 5th wheel in for repair and then they would need to evaluate the repairs which could take another 2 to 3 weeks and then they would start the work. They, of course, could not then guess how long it would take to fix anything once the finally started. We full time in our RV, but they didn’t care at all about any inconvenience we would have from their inability to deal with our issues in a timely fashion. They also were not willing to complete the repairs earlier—even knowing we had only purchased the RV 2 days earlier. Additionally, there was some body damage that was done that we didn’t discover until we got back to the campground. They told us the damage was our fault and we “probably hit a sign on the highway and didn’t know it”. Are you kidding! They accused us of hitting a road sign at 65 mph and not know it. Bottom line about Windish… purchase an RV from them but don’t expect them to stand behind it. Don’t expect the same treatment after you spend all that money with them as you get before you buy.
