I love this place! I have been coming to this location for over a year. David and Anna are wonderful, you can tell that they care about their customers and about their business. I have tried every service they have except for the mystic and I can tell you that personally I have never experienced anything being broken or out of order since I have been a customer.
David is very knowledgeable about all of the products and knows all the ingredients in them to make sure you get the best product that will work for you....that is why I love him. He is excited about new products and wants his customers to know about them!

This salon is OK. The bulbs in the bed seem to not be changed very much. David is content my hounding you trying to make a sale despite you telling him that you already own lotions. There's usually a wait. And things are always broken. The hydration station was down, a tanning bed was broke for weeks, the massage bed was down for awhile, and mystic is always having issues. It would be nice to be to use services but instead they are broken. The girl Miranda in the front is unprofessional and doesn't even smile or greet customers. A few of the employees are nice, but overall they make the experience horrible.

I have an upcoming appt but felt the reviews were not up to date (2013) - I would have liked to have read something more recent. Looking forward to my appt

Planet Beach is a great place to get away and relax! The spa treatments are my favorite and you are always greeted by a friendly staff member ready to help you. The facility is also clean and they are always up to date with the latest equipment and products. I recently tried an airbrush for the first time. Alycia was extremely educated and helped walk me through the whole process as well as how to maintain my tan afterwards. She was very experienced and I highly recommend requesting Alycia if you want the perfect glow for any occassion! Thanks Alycia!

Planet Beach in Lakewood Ranch is the best Tanning and Spa in the Bradenton Sarasota area. With a professional, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Alycia is always trying to assist me and provide me with the best value for my money. I would recommend Planet Beach Lakewood Ranch to all my friends.

I'm surprised to see some negative reviews of Planet Beach! Always a treat to go to Planet Beach there is never a wait and I get expert opinions on the lotions and services offered. I originally went to Planet Beach with a groupon and I'm glad I did! I agree with what other posts have said- Sheryl showed me all Planet beach had to offer and I signed up that day for a membership. I've gotten so many amazing airbrushes done by Sheryl and wouldn't recommend getting them anywhere else, ask for Sheryl too she will make your skin GLOW! The salon itself is very clean, which is nice as I've seen some disgusting salons before! The rooms are tranquil and you even get a piece of candy to enjoy while you tan, yum!

I first tried this tanning salon when they had a Free Tan & Spa Weekend letting people try services for free. I was impressed with the service,cleanliness & staff! Alycia was very helpful & educated and helped me through the whole process. Highly recommend !

I went to PLanet Beach for a spray tan, but changed my mind when I saw that they offer airbrushing, I asked the girl behind the counter if she could squeeze me in for an airbrush, she got me in no problem. Cheryl was extremely courteous and helpful as any service provider should be. I would highly recommend the services at planet beach

I have been going to planet beach for awhile, recently I had an airbrush done for prom! I was nervous about having an airbrush done because I've never had one before. Cheryl was so nice and made me feel at ease! My airbrush came out AWESOME and my prom pictures rock!

Such a great place to relieve your stress! I recently signed up for a Contempo Spa membership and its been wonderful so far! I love to be able to come in and have some spa treatments and then get a quick airbrush from Sheryl for the weekend! Two thumbs up!

This is a great tanning facility. They have several options to please most people. The best reason to patronize this business is the staff. I don't know what the negative comments I've seen are all about. The owner is extremely professional & courteous. I have had two very minor issues in the past year and both were resolved by the owner in a more than fair manner. Best of all, she hires great employees. Her staff is made up of mostly young women who are very bright, helpful, and friendly. They're also quite attractive if you care about that sort of thing.

It looks nice but the beds don't work. I felt pressured to sign up for a membership when I only wanted to tan for a short time and they forced me to buy goggles to tan. I got no color from the bed and I spent quite a bit of money on a small package. My package is up and I'm not tan and I won't be returning. If you prefer a friendly, relaxing environment and want more tan for your buck, I wouldn't recommend this salon.
