My son broke his tooth. I went in on Monday 06/20 to our Family dentist. They had to refer him to another dental office to get it fix. My dentist called all over to find someone who can fix the tooth that day or the next due to the pain he was in. They spoke to Dental Specialty and they insured, they could see him that day and fix it the next day (Tue.). So I was refer to them. After we were leaving Dental Specialty on Monday from having the x-rays done, they inform me they were not going to see my son till Aug. 22! And because I was already referred to them I could not go anywhere else or my ins. wouldn't cover it. They also told me that not only does he have a broken tooth but he needs 3 root canals (something I question was even true now). So after a couple days of none stop calls to them to get me in sooner as they promised, I was seen that Friday. They fixed the broken tooth, and put 3 silver caps on the root canals. I thought all went well tell that night. My son tried to eat some pudding and couldn't close his mouth!! The caps were so big it left a gap big enough to not be able to even chew. I called them back to get him in to have it fixed, THEY rescheduled my appointments 5 times, and took 3 visits to have them fix it. They even went as far as calling me and telling me my appt was going to have to be rescheduled unless I came in right then, so I did....and was sent home without the work being fixed. It wasn't until 3 weeks after the first appt. and my sons mouth was not fixed, that I called and advised them I was making a complaint with the Dental Board of Ca, they finally fix it the next day. My son had to have all 3 caps removed, re-drill the teeth down and recapped. My son lost a lot of weight in the 3 weeks from eating soft foods that do not require a lot of chewing. And now he is petrified of the dentist, something he was not scared of before. Come to fine out the board has several complaints about them. Please be warned! Dont go here!
