Provided by YP.comWe bought a 2003 Jetta in July and were promised a new radio and also asked for current inspection. They said it would be installed by the time we picked up the car. The radio did not come in so we were told they would let us know when it arrived. Never got called back so we had to keep calling and checking in. After 3 attempts we got the call it was installed so my daughter went to get the car and had to wait 1 1/2 hrs until it was finished. Radio works! She took the car to college and it wasn't shifting correctly so she took it to a garage near school. They ran a diagnostic test and said it was the transmission AND they said her brakes were down to the steel. We had it towed back to City Line. They replaced the brakes since THEY provided the inspection 2 months prior. They said the transmission issue was due to a needed software upgrade. Unfortunately, it was a $200 repair we had to pay because the warranty stinks! It states during the first 90 days repairs at 'their cost', meaning YOU pay for repairs at their price, not marked up. They have no risk in selling high-mile auction cars. We were not given an actual invoice for the repair that was actually done by another mechanic but were verbally told how much we owed City Line for the repair. The software upgrade did not fix the problem so they offered trying a bottle of transmission fix. Still did not fix the transmission. The dealer finally admitted he had 3 other Jetta's on the lot having the same exact problem and the repair would cost him $900 per car. He could not offer any assistance.
Bottom Line - this is NOT the place to buy a used car!

Provided by YP.comI bought a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche in mid Feb. When I bought it I asked them to get a fresh state inspection on it. The salesman said sure no problem. I picked the truck up a day or 2 later and and noticed that the front tires had some excessive wear on the inside edge. I should have said something right then but I figured the tires were ok, after all they just had it inspected. 45 days later and less than 3000 miles it cost me $966.28 to replace ball joints and two tires. The sales experience was ok but beware of who ever does the inspections. It looks like to me that someone pushed the inspection through just to make a buck. What if my wife was driving to work in Harrisburg and one of those ball joints failed or a tire blew out on Rt 283, this could have been a whole lot worse. I give them an overall rating of 1 star.
