clean, but wonder about safety

We stayed there 3 days last week. The motel was very clean. There was no elevator, but we did not ask about that and it did not bother us. Each morning, the doughnuts ran out, and if you did not ask for more, you don't get any.

You have to take your coffe, doughnuts, etc. outside or to your room to eat - no room in the coffee area which is very small and if there are more than two people in the area you have to wait for them before you can get to the coffee pot, microwave, toaster,etc.

I guess our real concern was the fact that other than the front door it would be hard to escape in case of emergency.

From the back of the motel, you have to go down some steps like you are going into the celler, and then there is a door at the rear, side. We don't see how OSHA permits that.
