we moved into an apartment at Willow Woods a few months ago, figuring any apartment complex associated with/owned by Willow Valley (the usual 5 star of past years) would be 'nice' & above typical standards. While the area is nice, upkept (considering the horrible Winter season we are just coming out of), the appliances within apartments are simply worn out AND cost the renter a TON - especially for heat! (its the amount consumed- daily, not the 'rates' as has been in the local news of late. (we) find the refrigerator to be beyond its prime- thus costing the renter additional $ monthly with electric; the water heater is beyond 10 years old! and, may be the worst is the electric furnace! clearly outdated- and despite (us) keeping the thermostat at a chilly 67 degrees, the amount of electric (the unit) uses is mind-boggling! the sliding doors and windows allow a lot of cold air in and are obviously outdated. we have the old fashioned 'pull chain' lights in a few rooms here as well. Surely the electric eating furnace is out biggest compliant. Prepare to pay ALOT more than you figure to heat, and cool these outdated apartments. t/y
