The Landisville Intermediate Center provides educational services to more than 440 students in grades four through six. Located in Landisville, Pa., the school conducts classes in language arts, math, science and social studies. It offers a range of student activities that includes art, music, and technical and physical education. It provides special education classes for gifted and talented students. The Landisville Intermediate Center operates a band, choir and orchestra. The school also organizes field trips to several cultural and educational destinations in the community. It offers English as a Second Language and Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) programs. In addition, it provides meals, guidance counseling and health care. The school s staff includes a psychologist, reading specialist, and speech and language therapist. The Landisville Intermediate Center is a part of the Hempfield School District, which serves more than 7,200 students through over eight elementary, middle and high schools.
