Makemie Woods Camp and Conference Center
3700 Ropers Church Rd, Lanexa, VA 23089
Since 1964, Makemie Woods has been offering camp programs and retreat facilities that have helped transform the lives of young and old alike.
The exciting summer camp program features FUN Bible study and traditional camp activities like campfires and boating, music and drama camps as well off-site adventures for older campers, while building community and teamwork with excellent supervision. Campers rank worship, the zip-lines, meeting the camp "critters" and making new friends among the favorite activities, and even say the food is excellent! Programs are available for rising first graders through Senior High.
Our retreat facilities can accommodate 130 guests in both larger and small facilities. Our largest building sleeps 52 people, with a large meeting space for 150, and a smaller break-out for up to 40.
You will find the staff friendly and helpful, and the food worth coming back for! Make your reservation today. Most groups book at least 3 months in advance, with some groups booking more than a year ahead.
Our seasonal campground nestled deep in the forest has 14 sites with a bathhouse that has hot showers and electricity. All sites have water hook-ups, some of electricity. The facility is designed for groups, though individuals can rent campsites with at least one-weeks notice.

Provided by YP.comMakemie Woods is my home. As someone who accepted Christ at a summer camp, MW has given me the opportunity to serve Christ on staff for the last 8 years of my life. Mike and Anthony Burcher have created a wonderfully loving and accepting faith community that challenges campers and staff to go beyond their comfort zones by trying new things and stretching their boundaries. Ziplines, archery, an observatory, swimming and canoeing to specialty camps that offer horseback riding, drama, alternate sports, whitewater rafting and rock climbing, Makemie Woods has it all. Camp will change your life forever in the best ways possible.

Provided by YP.comI worked at MW for 3 years and from my first day at camp, it was my home away from home. The camp directors (Mike and Anthony) are amazing people who's hearts are devoted to the kids. MW was also where I met my husband along with friendships that will last a lifetime. MW is truly an amazing place to work or send your children to summer, I promise they will have a blast!
