Went to Lowes to purchase a 11 foot umbrella the type that cranks up & down. I ask a women if she could help me. She replied " there over there" I and she could not find the type I wanted. She said hold on, I interrupted her and said is it possible to get someone to help me because I'm disabled, I told her I had broken my neck in an auto accident and I have several other medical conditions that prevent me from picking up the umbrella. The woman who I told started laughing at me and walked away. It was the first time I ever had to tell someone I was disabled and got laughed at. Well, I got very embarrassed and hurt. I went home and called and wanted to speak to the store manager, I got the manager of services (John) he was very apologetic and said he would speak to the the director of the store, he took my name and phone number. Next day I got a call from ( Patrica) Human Resource manager. She wanted to here my side of the story. So I told her I was in Law Enforcement for 28 years, broke my neck and had many other medical conditions that prevented me from picking up anything over 10 pounds. ( the umbrella was 11 foot long and weighted 92 pounds. I asked a Patricia what was going to happen to the woman, ( Patrica ) said I can't discuss anything with you. I said do you know who the woman is, she replied yes. Then Patricia asked me Sir what is it that you want? Making it sound like I wanted something free, I said Patricia I don't want any money or anything free I just would like an apology from the employee who laughed at me. Well Patricia from Human Resiuses said ok " I'm apologize for what happened to you, then hung up. Now I know what it feels like when a person with a disability gets mocked or laughed at. What a proper. Same for that store " Lowes" it can't get any lower.

This store is a joke , spent $6000 on a bathroom! And couldn't even order the right parts ,took them 4 x to get it right.The management stuff really doesn't care about customer service ,told me not to come back. I will never shop at this Lowe again. I should have went to home Depot In the first place. I was like talking to a bunch of monkeys at this store! I will go somewhere else.
