Provided by YP.comI went to Harlem years ago she actually did my hair in this photo, I moved to far away to constantly make the appointments. Since Harlem did my hair i could not find anyone one with growing hands like hers .... (Blessed Hands she has).

Provided by YP.comMy daughter turned me on to Harlem, Harlem is my stylist and I am VERY pleased with the services. Harlem takes the time to analyze your hair and gives advice for maintaining your hair between visits.

Provided by YP.comIt's been almost 2 years since i first started going to Harlem Hair Care Salon..My stylist is Harlem and she had done wonders for my hair. My hair was thin & lifeless and now it's so full of life, healthy, shiny, bouncy and I could go on & on. I love my length and fullness. Harlem truly CARES about your hair..My daughter goes here as well and we both are very satisfied customers.

Provided by YPmobileStarted going to Harlem in April 2013. Wait time is always minimal and the staff is friendly and efficient. Her scheduling is on point. My hair was thin and brittle. In 4 and a half short months she has given my hair life...it's healthy bouncy, and the fullness has returned...and her trims are the best ever!

Provided by YPmobileI have been a client at Harlems for about 4 1/2 years. I was recommend by my cousin. I'm totally obsessed and addicted. People are amazed that I only wrap my hair at night and don't have to pin curl it, for my curls to stay in tac. I get so many compliments. After seeing the growth process and healthiness of my hair my mom decided to take my sisters. That was about 3 years ago and they have been going every since. The shop itself is beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. In the lounge area (as I like to call it, some may refer to it as the waiting area) have couches, magazines, and a tv. So while your sitting under the dryer or waiting to get serviced you have something to keep you occupied. I love my shop and my stylist! Go check them out for yourself!

Provided by YP.comI chose this ‘place’ primarily due to its location. BIG mistake! Even if I had driven to a salon 2 hours away, spent 2 hours doing my hair, and driven the 2 hours back, it would not have amounted to the EIGHT hours I spent doing little more than waiting at Harlem’s!
The service is terrible, staff is RUDE, entire site has an unprofessional "home girl" atmosphere, and the owner needs to master qualities needed to actually MANAGE, instead of participating in inappropriate banter with the rest of the staff. Appearance-wise, I must admit I was fooled at first, that is, until I saw the constantly barking dog. Yes, it was small, but when circling your chair while the stylist has hot equipment in hand, the size does not offset the annoyance factor! The worst part is that they make you wait downstairs! The phrase “out-of-sight, out-of-mind” surfaces in a big way! The only contact to the upstairs world being a cheap speaker that seemed to muffle ALL sounds when used, to the point where everything said was inaudible.
To me the biggest scam is that you pay upfront, ahead of time! So, you do not have the opportunity to either leave and pay for what has been done up until that point, and you never see how many heads are in front of you when you enter, due to the fact that they are ALL downstairs! VERY deceiving!
As far as the hair goes, the end result is good at best, definitely NOT great, and definitely not worth the time!!!
Do yourself a favor andselect another place to tend to your hair care needs! The sooner the folks at Harlem's are disbursed to better run establishments, or find themselves in the unemployment line, the better!!!

Provided by YP.comMy 1st experience with them six years ago was bad. My stylist showed up 2 hours late on my Wedding day. The only problem i had prior to that was that the shampoo girls were not professional. I figured i would give the salon another try. Thinking the owner would have things under control. Boy was I wrong. My first visit back was a disaster. They have an intercom system in the basement that is hard to understand. They also have a new ticket system that nobody took the time to explain. The staff carried on a long inapproprite conversation, and contiued to ignore me. I was never acknowledged. We ended up getting into a huge argument, becasue the receptionist asked the shampoo girls to acknowledge all clients as they walk in. The staff had a problem with that and started shouting back and forth with me and the receptionist. This salon is in no way professional! You also need to be aware & prepared for a long wait too, because they are very slow. It took the stylist an hour and a half just to curl my hair. (My hair is shoulder length)
During my last appointment i was switched from my previous stylist and rescheduled with a new one. The new stylist arrived for my appointment an hour and a half late. I spent 4 hours at the salon during that appointment just for a wash & curl. I will not be going back. It's a shame too, because the salon has alot of potential, but they are not organized, petty and are not professional.
My co-worker had a 4pm appointment and didn't get done until 9:30pm that night.
**All this is defintiely not worth the high prices!!!!
