Provided by YP.comWhere are these people? No one returned my call for two days this week. Went there; waited in the cold 1 1/2 hours -- before & after my appt time, calling around trying to get a number to reach a person at -- not what one would expect from an "action center." No "action," no one around to help three of us living in the community who showed up for appointments.
It seemed they want not to be bothered with us even before today, or I think we in the community would have heard about their services before. Troubling, because they're using funds & food they were given to help people with. They need not claim funds for someone answering phones because no one's been fulfilling that duty this week. Food sitting on shelves doesn't help the community.
Not convenient that the Greater Lansing Food Bank had no other number to reach someone at. Neither did Salvation Army, Allen Street Market, plus no one called me back from the church that Eastside Action is housed in, or from 211.
Mary's msg from the Food Bank said she's out of the ofc alot, not the best one to call. She suggests switching pantries (& this was not much help) & my voice msg back to her was that whoever they're accountable to should be involved.
