Provided by YP.comWell you know, I had to give a very low rating on it all because I didn't get to experience any of it because you have to take a swimming test to get in 3 feet of water even though you're 5'7 which is ridiculous so I drove 30 minutes to turn around and go home in my swim suit . And that's not the worst part. The worst part is, I have a skin condition so I itch really badly in the sun UNLESS I'm in cold water and so I suffered and waited in line for a long time to be told I couldn't get into the pool without taking a test. And the girls giving out the bracelets, were rude and ratchet. Will not be returning

Provided by YP.comThe rules change from day to day. They tell you, you can't wear flip flops into the pool area. So you get to walk through the locker room, shower room into the pool area with no shoes. Phones are not allowed in or reading material. Next time you visit the pool, there are people wearing shoes in the pool area. Someone video recording their child in the pool. An adult in the corner reading the Sunday paper. Life guards pick and choose who they decide should follow the rules or not. Other than that...it's ok place to take the kids. Rules need to be toned down a bit or set for everyone.

Provided by YPmobileThe place is very nice except they dont allow you to even wear flip flops into the pool are which I find nasty. You cant even take a bag in with reading material or your phone even as an adult. They then tell you that you have to put your stuff in a locker that has no locks. The reason I get is because of liability that you cant have this stuff but it is at greater risk of being stolen in an unsupervised unlocked locker! Thrn theres the food thing. They have trash cans and picnic tables inside the pool area but you cant even bring anything in with you.
Here is the biggest kicker. Staff wear shoes, eat food, and wear street clothes. If the pool wasnt so nice itself I would give it an even lower rating. I submitted a complaint to the Parks and Rec Deoartment about this. My taxes pay for this pool, the rules should be adjusted a bit. Since these rules have been implemented the number of people attending has decreased significantly.

Provided by YP.comHunter Park has been totally redesigned after the City of Lansing received a Cool Cities grant. The old pool for a face lift and is so enjoyable and kid friendly. And it's FREE! You will find a changing/locker room with attendant. The pool is wonderful! It is a large zero depth entry pool perfect for the smallest of children. A splash pad in located right off the pool so you don't need to go out of the pool area. The deep end also features a rock climbing wall. They have many lifeguards on staff. There is even a parking lot close to the pool building so you don't need to park at the other end. If you are interested in playgrounds, they have a huge jungle gym and picnic tables. The community has also been working with a hoop house to teach the local children about gardening. It's a great place. I highly recommend it!
