My mom was there less than 2yrs. Tho she could walk with her walker when she entered, they shortly forced her to totally non-ambulatory, including refusing to even help her on & off the toilet or in and out of bed without using a lift to put her there. They forced her on this dysphagia diet, which is supposedly a choking problem; which both my sister and I know my mom did not have. She became very malmourished & dehydrated. One time they sent her to the hospital saying she was not eating & drinking; was given over 1 bag of fluids & diagnosed with urinary infection due to my mom not going along with this "diet". Then she got a bedsore and several weeks later, as no aggressive treatment was administered to treat it; it became down to the bone & mom died July 16, 2015. Also with the help of the "public guardian" mom was talked into, I, her only visitor, was barred from visiting her the last 7 mos of her life. Mom & I cried on the phone her last Christmas, Dec 2014, as she wanted me to be there-but they would not left me. I showed up twice and they called the police. If you love someone, never put them here!!!!

The staff is super, the facility is clean and patients on the over all are happy. The rooms are small as one my expect unless you're on the rehab unit. My biggest complaint would be the food, I know older folks tastes are touch but really this is canned and ickey... i watched an entire room gnaw on what they called roast, not good.
