Two other reviews rate LORI the STORE MANAGER -POOR- . I agree 100%. One day I was there she was about two foot away from me SCREAMING at a customer like a rabid dog. Really, no joke, practically foaming at the mouth. Evidently he was a previous shoplifter. I hate shoplifters too, but, screaming and foaming at the mouth in front of other customers is inappropriate. Ever heard of calling the police? On numerous occassions I have taken pop cans back and she and some of the other employees pretend they don't see me waiting or DO see me and make me wait as long as possible anyway. You know: tidy up, put some stuff away first, etc. etc. before helping me.... I assume they think if they do this enough times I will take the cans somewhere else to avoid the hassle. They are wrong. I complained to LORI and CONNIE (55ish, grey hair) the last time this happened and CONNIE was making snotty comebacks to the things I said and LORI was dismissive and rude. I was angry and they did everything they could to try to make me 10 times more angry. I told LORI that I had been coming there 30 years and find her poor service unacceptable. CONNIE then told me - how many years she had worked there - in a snotty retort aimed at further angering me. LORI (THE STORE MGR) said that 30 years was nice, but, it was ok with her if I went somewhere else. I told her I would make sure the management at QD was aware of her statement and she said that was fine with her. As in most stores there are people who enjoy providing Quality customer service. I am sorry that I don't remember their names as I would like to give them their due credit. I will look in the future and edit with the names of those good ones. They should be considered for promotion. They have the right attitude. When a STORE MANAGER, like LORI treats customers like "the enemy," tries to provoke them further, and flippantly tells a 30 year customer that they can go elsewhere and it is ok with her, then that store is going to go downhill. Sooner or later other employees pick up on this attitude and copy it. The whole store will lose business or sales will be flat when increases are possible. I have seen it happen. I wonder if I am treated poorly for the way I look? You see, I am retired and don't wear suits anymore, just a ballcap, jeans, etc. It is convenient for me to go to that store and I will not stop going there. But, I WILL complain each and every time I am treated badly. In 30 years I have seen many Store Managers come and go at this location. Perhaps she will go somewhere else before I do. In an open question to executives at QD: I stop at this location 5 to 7 times a week and spend $200 to $300 a month (and at Cedar/Saginaw). Do you think I am the only one being treated this way? You have two other reviews here with the same complaints. I am sure there are 5, 10, 20, even 100 or more customers that won't bother to complain, but, will go to Speedway, or Hortons across the street, or 7/11, all nearby. I am sure you also care about profit, ethics, and return customers. You are losing paying customers because of this Store Manager. She is in conflict with the best interests of Quality Dairy. An open letter to customers: Don't let any business treat you with a lack of respect. Complain ! Complain!, Complain! Complain to Corporate Headquarters! Write online reviews! Complain anywhere and everywhere you can! Otherwise employees who treat customers as the enemy will go on doing this.
