J.McLaughlin's Larchmont store is located on Palmer Avenue in downtown, just one block west of the Larchmont train station. Larchmont is a small town settled between Mamaroneck and New Rochelle, about 18 miles outside of New York City and situated on the Long Island Sound. This fantastic area attracts families for its many quiet recreational opportunities just outside of the big city. If rec is what you're seeking, the town's best places to visit include Manor Beach, Memorial Park, Flint Park, and last but not least, Turtle Park. When not taking in the breathtaking views of water and foliage, people tend to relish the tree-lined streets that divide this seemingly-singular town into two locations. The main town is adjacent to the train station and filled with restaurants like Lusardi's and Le Sirene, as well as the neighborhood tavern "LT." For a great cup of coffee, be sure to stop by Sunrise or Bradley's. The summer season welcomes outside dining and live bands at places like Plates and Chat 19, too. If you have the kids in tow, some favorite spots for the little ones include Stephanie's Kloset, Red Mango, and Mooyah.
