on july 12 i went to manor park as i do every weekend to sit on the park bench and enjoy the view i have only 1 leg and can barely walk more than 100 ft at a time. on 2 seperate occasions i stopped at the Larchmont police station to ask if i could park in the the handicapped spot even though the sign above it said no parking on Saturday and Sunday i was assured that it did not apply to cars with handicapped stickers i was told this on 2 occasions by 2 differant officers on July 12 when i got my $50.00 ticket i was very upset i went to the police station and the officer who gave me the ticket was there he proceeded to tell me the law has been the same for 28 years and i should tell it to the judge. i think its very sad that i asked at the station if it was was ok to park and i was told it was and now i have to pay for a ticket i cant afford shame on you Larchmont i will be sure to tell channel 12 news and anyone else that will listen how you treat the handicapped!!!!
