He successfully completed his undergraduate coursework at the University of Florida, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science with honors. Dr. Hamblen then went on to complete is Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry degree with high honors.Upon graduation, Dr. Hamblen was drafted and proudly served in the United States Public Health Service as a commissioned officer in the United States Coast Guard. It was in the military when Dr. Hamblen first came to Pinellas County, as he provided dental services to members of all branches of the military on the MacDill Air Force Base, before being stationed in North Carolina to complete his tour of duty.
