Words do not come close to the amount of gratitude I feel towards this woman. I went from an absolute wedding dress DISASTER to Sylvia saving the day with her superior talent as a seamstress, and some outright miracle working.



Long story short, I had my dress butchered at another place that claimed they worked on bridal gowns. They kept delaying and delaying my pick up date two days before I had to leave for my wedding. I picked up my dress, and had to hold back my tears when it not only didn't fit, wasn't pressed, pulled and puckered funny at several places, was hemmed by a SURGER, oh the list went on. I didn't think I was that picky when it came to my dress needing to be perfect, but seriously, it was awful!



I found Sylvia, explained my situation, and think she could hear the panic in my voice. She stayed around later than expected, took a look at the dress, and immediately started pointing out what needed to happen. She was very realistic with what she could fix and what she would not be able to fix, and then she set out and got it done OVERNIGHT!!! I had to leave for my wedding the next day, and was planning on having one of my friends swing by to pick up my dress later on, but she worked on it late into the night, got it done, and called me the morning I was to leave saying "I promised you I would fix it, and now you can pick up your dress." Fix it she did!!! It was better than she promised. She honestly saved my dress, and for this I will never forget her. While I would never recommend doing what I did and waiting until the last minute to get your wedding dress altered, I would whole heartedly, enthusiastically, recommend Sylvia. She knows what she is doing, knows how a dress is supposed to fit, and is a joy to work with.
