I was visiting a sick relative at the Mountainview Hospital and needed a room for the night. I checked in and found there was no parking. I was told that I could park across the busy highway in a lot that was unguarded and inconvenient. I was so tired I accepted room #208 anyway.

When I tried to turn on the shower I found that it took both hands, and I am a strong 245 pound man. The shower head was calcified and could not be adjusted. After the shower I found that the water could not be turned off. The sink was just as bad. The faucet was so loose that it was held in place by the pipes to which it was attached. The stopper in the sink would not allow it to drain. The drain in the sink was stained with coffee and a long black hair was draped across the counter. The fog from the shower showed the mirror to be streaked. The coffee pot was calcified and dirty and the paper coffee cups were not wrapped or sealed in anyway.

The bed had an ample supply of pillows. Three were couch cushions that I tossed to a nearby chair. One was a Roll that went immediately to the floor. Of the five that were left I chose one to place my head on. It smelled as is someone had had intimate relations with it. I went through the pillows to find the one least offensive and used that for the night. The other pillows were not wasted. There was constant noise, whistling, singing and loud talk coming from the hall. I first thought it to be patrons from the bar but after two in the morning I realized that the noise was being generated by the night shift employees. I used the extra pillows at the base of the door in an attempt to block the incoming noise. I checked out the next morning with little sleep, no breakfast and a bad attitude.

I can not comment on the restaurant, bar or room service as I did not use those functions.

Before I would stay at this hotel, I would sleep in the car.
