Not sure what pool Darby D. Went to, but I found this pool to be really nice. The pools are shallow, yes, but the lap, pools allow all the swimming you want. the walking channel is nice for those of us with injuries to work out in. Staff is always pleasant if you follow the rules that are posted on a huge display. You pay for an hour (anytime) and get a wrist band with your end time. Never had any problems with getting "kicked out". Yes there are times when it gets a bit crowded, but that should be expected for such a great facility as this.

Its an alright pool for children, but nor for adults or young adults. The pools are about 5' at deepest, so unless you're shorter than that you won't really be able to "swim", per say, more like stand in water.

They run on a strange block system that you can only buy passes for an hour prior, if you arrive at 4:03 and want to buy a pass for the 5:00 block, don't even try.

Your other option is to buy a ticket after the block schedule starts, but because this is the only pool in Las Cruces that even seems to allow people to swim it's very crowded and you will have to wait for a long time in a long line. The block system also means that you will get kicked out at an arbitrary time if you do ever manage to get in.
