Established in 1982, Picacho Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. It has an enrollment of more than 760 students and is located in Las Cruces, N.M. The school is spread across an area of over 20 acres and has nearly 40 classrooms. Its core curriculum includes classes in math, language arts, science and social studies. The school also provides a range of sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, football, cheerleading and wrestling. Additionally, Picacho Middle School offers counseling services and morning and afternoon meals. The school also participates in band contests and organizes theater programs. Picacho Middle School is a part of Las Cruces Public Schools.
