THIS GUY GAVE ME A GOOD QUOTE ON A VALUABLE CHAIR. HE SAID IT WOULD BE DONE IN 3 DAYS- THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO. HE RETURNED A FEW CALLS, SAID HE WAS IN CA ON A JOB, THEN HE SAID HIS CAR BROKE DOWN. I HAVE REPORTED HIM TO THE POLICE- LET'S SEE IF HE'S EVEN LEGAL!! NEXT, SMALL CLAIMS COURT. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE HIS "SHOP" IS, THE POLICE WOULD LIKE TO FIND HIM. LUCKILY I HAVE HIS LICENSE TAG #!!

Jose Carretero came to my home and took 7 cushions to my expensive sectional as well as an ottoman to reupholster. I gave him a down payment and he told me he'd have them back in 5 days. That was almost 3 weeks ago. First he said he was so busy that he didn't have them finished and could not return them as originally planned. Then he said his machine broke down. 2 weeks later he promised I'd have them by the following Friday. He has not returned my calls for 5 days now, even though I have left numerous messages. He is a scam artist who advertises on Craigslist. His phone number comes up for an address with a vacant building.

My only recourse now is to go to the police and file theft charges.
