Pure beaver resists cracking, tearing, or just plain wearing out longer than any blend and will easily rebuild to look like new. The 100x pure beaver hat is available in "natural", "black" and very limited quantities "bleached" (almost white). Natural varies slightly from hat to hat due to purity, no added dyes or bleaching. These hats come self banded, and are guaranteed for one full year not to crack, separate or tear from normal use. This does not include damage due to unnatural causes. We are possibly the only hat makers that can make any hat from a picture which you provide, as long as it can be made from fur felt.We do not make fabric, wool, netted hats, or baseball caps of any sort. The D Bar J Hat Company has made historically accurate hats for re-enactment, movies, commercials, and most often for members of the 'Single Action Shooting Society' or 'SASS' for short. Its these members that participate in the above mentioned which requires Period work of this kind.
