I took my Lexus to these guys and explained what I wanted to get done and they told me that warranty would not cover the work without even checking suggested that I buy the parts myself and bring them back for an outrageous price. Well after taking my car to another shop they did what I needed plus a few other things that was going on with my car and warranty took care of it all 3000 worth of work I can only speculate why they didn't want to work on my car, must b a white only shop!!!!

THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN THE STEALERS (DEALERS) ARE INDEPENDENTS WHO ARE JUST AS CROOKED...I GIVE YOU EUROPEAN HOUSE OF IDIOTS, WHO SEEM TO LIKE THEIR CUSTOMERS DUMB AND UNINFORMED, WHICH I AM NOT. I HAVE OWNED MANY MERCEDES AND BMW'S OVER THE YEARS. I HAD JUST SOLD 2 OF MY MERCEDES (ONE OF WHICH I SUPPOSEDLY HAD 2 MOTOR MOUNTS AND A TRANSMISSION MOUNT REPLACED HERE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. SUPPOSEDLY I SAY, BECAUSE LESS THAN 6 MONTHS LATER I HAD THE SAME SYMPTOMS OF BLOWN MOTOR MOUNTS AS WHEN I'D BROUGHT IT IN BEFORE). I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A 1999 E-SERIES WITH SOMEWHAT HIGH MILES AND WANTED TO KNOW WHERE I STOOD WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL BECAUSE I HAD FELT A COUPLE OF SLOW SHIFTS IN THE PAST WEEK, NO CEL'S OR MAJOR EVENTS. I ASKED TO GET MY FLUID LEVEL CHECKED AS THE FIRST THING ONE WOULD DO AND OFFERED TO PAY FOR IT. JOSH, I BELIEVE WHO WAS AT THE DESK, IMMEDIATELY TRIED TO SELL ME A TRANSMISSION SERVICE FOR APPROX. $350 WHICH DIDN'T INCLUDE REPLACING THE 13 PIN TRANSMISSION PLUG WHICH IS CUSTOMARY WHEN DOING A TRANSMISSION SERVICE ON AN OLDER, HIGH MILEAGE MERCEDES AND IS A KNOWN ISSUE. I ALSO ASKED FOR AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE BOTH VALVE COVER GASKETS AS I NOTICED A SMALL AMOUNT OF LEAKAGE AROUND BOTH COVERS. AFTER SEVERAL REQUESTS FOR A BALLPARK FIGURE, HE FINALLY RELUCTANTLY QUOTED ME $400-500 AND PROBABLY MORE. I MENTIONED THAT THE OIL SEEMED LIKE IT MAY BE COMING FROM THE BREATHER COVER WHICH IS A SMALLER COVER THAT SITS ON TOP OF THE VALVE COVERS. JOSH WHILE EXPLAINING THE PRICE, COMMENTED THAT THE MERCEDES GASKETS FOR THE BREATHER COVERS AS WELL AS THE VALVE COVERS WOULD NEED REPLACED. I, KNOWING A LITTLE ABOUT THE PROCESS, EXPLAINED THAT THERE WERE NO PRE-MADE GASKETS FOR BREATHER COVERS AND THAT GASKET SEALANT HAD TO BE USED FOR THAT PART OF THE REPAIR. I DON'T CLAIM TO BE AN EXPERT BUT I AM NOT A NOVICE AND HAVE DONE 90 PERCENT OF THE REPAIRS ON MY VEHICLES BECAUSE OF UNETHICAL DEALERS AND INDEPENDENTS AND ONLY USE THEM WHEN I DON'T HAVE THE TOOLS, CAR LIFT, ETC TO DO SO MYSELF AND IF I FEEL THE EXTRA COSTS ARE WORTH THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL STRESS I WILL BE SAVED BY LETTING SOME ELSE DO IT. AT THIS POINT, BARRY ENTERED THE AREA AND COMMENTED, "WHAT, HAVE YOU BEEN READING THAT CRAP ON THE INTERNET. THOSE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING." BECAUSE OF THE INTERNET AND THE MERCEDES FORUMS, I HAVE REPLACED MY OWN WATER PUMPS, RADIATORS, COOLING FANS, SHOCKS, ROTORS/BRAKES, SPARK PLUGS, ETC. ALL OF WHICH REMAINED FUNCTIONING AS THEY SHOULD. AGAIN, WHEN I ASKED IF I COULD START WITH A TRANSMISSION FLUID CHECK, BARRY TOLD ME THAT "YOU CAN'T JUST CHECK THE LEVEL", YOU HAVE TO DROP IT OFF, "IT TAKES HALF A DAY"...WHICH IS CRAP. I LEFT AND CALLED GGAUTOHAUZ ON DECATUR AND ASKED THE SAME QUESTION, IF THEY COULD CHECK MY TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL AND THEY SAID SURE COME ON DOWN. I DROVE IN, THEY FOUND A TECHNICIAN TO CHECK MY FLUID LEVEL ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AND WITHOUT CHARGE. I ALSO GOT AN ESTIMATE FOR A TRANSMISSION SERVICE FOR THE SAME PRICE BUT GG'S INCLUDED THE 13 PIN PLUG REPLACEMENT THAT WOULD HAVE COST OVER A $100 DOLLARS MORE AT EUROPEAN. I WAS TRYING TO GIVE BARRY ANOTHER CHANCE AT MY BUSINESS BUT EUROPEAN WOULD RATHER PLAY DEALER LIKE GAMES.

I Trust This Shop Completely

I brought my 2003 MB C240 in for a break job and also got an oil change. I had been getting both my expensive cars serviced at one of the chains to save money. Barry explained to me that the chains use very cheap filters which could damage my engine. Boy was he right. I was shocked when I saw the filter they took out. It was clogged and you could crush it in your hands. Also the chain never replaced the filter seals causing a lack of oil to lube the valves. Since then, the car runs noticeably better and the valve tap has disappeared. You need to be careful to use only factory parts. They won't cut corners to make money. When they give you a price, it is an honest quote designed to save you money so be careful if you get a lower quote. These guys, Barry and Steve are honest to a fault. If trust and reliable service is what you are looking for, don't hesitate to bring your car here. Any car.

Customer

Barry and Steve are honest to a fault and would never stoop to cheating a customer. They will never give you a low ball quote which doubles after the car is torn apart. Also very important. If you have a Benz or any type of car, be careful letting the chains do your brakes and oil changes. Pay a little extra for top of the line filters and parts. In the long run you will save money and possibly your engine. I was shocked when I saw the filter that came out of my car vs the proper one they installed. I swear by this company and would never take my expensive cars anywhere else.
