Provided by YPmobileThe elders of this church recently excommunicated members who love Jesus and are heralds for his gospel. They were "handed over to satan" based on differences on views of the end times.
The gentlemen are good men who are loved in many Christian circles but are declared by this church to be unbelievers because they have a view different from what is held at this church.
I am tremendously ashamed of First Baptist Church of The Lakes. I solemnly warn anyone who is considering attending this church.

Provided by YP.comDr. John Pretlove is the finest expository teacher I've ever had the pleasure of studying with. He does not try to 'convict' you, he leaves that to the Holy Spirit. He provides rich biblical history, is a great pastor and, though I no longer reside in Vegas, I am BLESSED to have been led to FBC of the Lakes and thankful to have been able to call FBC of the Lakes my church home while in NV.

Provided by YP.comAbout 9 months ago, the church had a decent spirit in seeking after Christ. However, the Pastor John Pretlove is not a good preacher. He does not convict men of their sin, he does not lead them to Christ, (except at the end of the sermon), and he preaches in an expository way. Ever since I last left, the church is not in a good state and I would not recommend going to. I've been to that church for maybe 5 and a half years as a youth, and I was not saved except when I talked to James Jennings on Illbehonest.com. There I was converted. Yet when I came to this church, I hear all this theology going on but what they're preaching isn't even milk, nor meat. There are many hypocrites in that church, and I have not found one that was very radical or heated up for Christ. I guess you can blame the church leaders for that. Rolo is actually a good guy, it's just John Pretlove and some of the church teachers' fault.
