Provided by YPmobileAfter our last son was born, my husband and I decided our family was complete. I had suffered 3 difficult pregnancies and 2 miscarriages and I didn't want to get pregnant again.
During the c-section of our last son, Dr. Gex did my tubal ligation.
Later at my follow up appointment, he informed us that the hospital came back saying he had clipped the wrong piece from one side and I would have to go have a hysterosolpinogram to make sure the tubal had been done right.
I had the test done which showed that indeed, one of the tubes had not been ligated properly.
I requested birth control, but dr. Gex refused saying he knew he had done the procedure correctly and he had just clipped my tube further up than what the test showed.
18 months later, I have been through yet again another miscarriage and am now 15 weeks pregnant with what is hopefully indeed our last baby.
While I would have recommended dr. Gex in a heartbeat to anyone because of his manner and polite office staff, I could never trust this man again with my well being.

Provided by YP.comUnfortunately, this was my doctor for the duration of my pregnancy with my first son. Dr. Gex was always 45 minutes to 1 hour late, which would have been ok if he actually took the time to answer my questions. I asked him about caffeine during pregnancy and he said THERE HAVE BEEN NO STUDIES ON HOW CAFFEINE AFFECTS PREGNANCY... really? No studies at all??? Anyway, the only thing he spent any great length of time discussing with me was about getting induced if my baby didn't come before the day of my due date. As it turned out he did have me induced and it was a HORRIBLE experience. I was asked to speak to my doctors for HOURS but the nurses told me he was unavailable. He conveniently showed up about 10 minutes before the baby was born at 3:30 on a monday afternoon and I'm sure he was home by 5 o'clock that night. He wanted the baby born on his schedule regardless of whether it was healthy for the baby or there was any discomfort for me.
I would have switched doctors before the baby was born, but I was afraid my insurance wouldn't cover 2 doctors and my deductable had already been paid. I only gave him 3 stars because thankfully my baby was born healthy, and unlike Dr. Gex his office staff was very nice and helpful.
