I am a medical researcher, so naturally I researched several local moving companies for my upcoming move. Only three stuck out as really good companies, so I interviewed them for my move. Michael L. Patane from Interstate Contracted Movers was the only one to thoroughly went through all the paperwork with me. By the time we were done, he had given me more information them the other two companies combined. He even explained how to accurately check out any moving company. After some time, I decided to give them a call and move with them. On moving day, the crew was very clean and professional. Everyone knew what to do and did a great job, and the same crew was at the delivery. I got to know these guys a little bit and they are great guys - very hard working. I am very happy to say that I had Interstate Contracted Movers move me and they did a great job!

On New Year's Eve (3pm) I had a water pipe break in my home and caused allot of water damage. About 2" of water was on the floor. My insurance agent gave me the number to Interstate Contracted Movers, so I called them and explained my problem to get help moving all my furniture upstairs. The guys arrived at 5:30 and the entire upstairs had to be rearranged in order to fit all the furniture from downstairs. It took 3 men 4 hours to complete the move and dry off everything before bringing it upstairs. The guys (Claxton, Alex & Mike) were great. They never complained about having to walk through 2" of water every time they went downstairs to get more furnishings. They were also very friendly and professional. My wife and I are so happy for their hard work and help. It is going to take several weeks to fix all the drywall damage, but I will be calling them back to reset up my home.

I called Carol at Interstate Contracted Movers kind of in a bind. I need help being moved out of my apartment very quickly. She arranged and got 3 guys out to me within a couple hours. The where prompt and for the amount I paid very professional and friendly. I couldn't asked for better help for a cheaper price. They helped me relocate to my new place the very same day.

I had several bad moves in the past so I asked my company, Lennar, who did their move and was told Interstate Contracted Movers, so I called IC Movers to move me to my new apartment and they did a good job. They were on time, nothing broken, no extra charges, and they worked hard. I bought the movers pizza for lunch. In my opinion they are the best!

It was a simple move… we already packed and just need the manpower and truck. I called several moving companies and was told from $89 to $111 for 3 men & a truck, then I found Interstate Contracted Movers and was told $57 for 3 men. The catch was that I had to rent the truck… I figured out that a truck was about $50/day (including gas) and that the move was going to take about 5 hrs (I do have allot of stuff), and after the 2nd hr I will start saving $32/hr… my total savings would be $98, so I bought it. On the day of the move, they were on time. They brought lots of moving blankets, straps (which I forgot to get), and some moving supplies. Before I knew it, they were wrapping all my glass items in cardboard, so I asked how much more this was going to cost and they said that boxes are free. “WOW” no additional charges for packing. They then loaded the truck and followed me to my new address. At the new home, they quickly unloaded and set up everything where my wife directed them, even put our bed & table back together. Nothing was damaged, everything looked great, and all within 4 ½ hrs. Now it’s time to see the bill… nothing extra. I like this company – they did a good job! My brother is moving in November and has already booked with them too. I have had too many bad experiences with movers and don’t trust them, but I like this company… Keep up the good work. My brother & I rented a truck to move my mom across town and quickly figured out that it was too much for him and I to handle. After making several calls and getting ridiculous prices, mom’s new neighbor recommended IC Movers. She raved that they did a wonderful job on her move, so I gave them a call. It took them less then 2 hrs to get 3 men there and they worked their buts off for 5 hrs. We were so happy with them that we tipped them and bought them dinned. This company is on the ball! I called several moving companies for a local move and was told about $101/hr for 3 men and a truck. Interstate Contracted Movers explained to me that if I rent the truck (about $50/day), 3 men and equipment was $57/hr. My move was estimated at 8-10 hrs… I have a big house. After doing the math, ICMovers was allot less $$$, so I chose them. The did a GREAT job in 7.5 hrs and I saved. I May, 2010 “Mike The Mover” moved me from Las Vegas to New York. I got 6 quotes and went with Interstate Contracted Movers because Mike & Lee sounded like they new more about the moving industry then any of the other companies. They also spent more time with me getting me organized in packing so the move would be a smooth transition for my family & myself. Their binding price did not go up (no hidden fees), my belongings arrived on time, and there was no damage or missing items. Their customer service is also the BEST! I am always on a tight budget so I contacted 9 moving companies and they all seemed like good companies. All of them basically told me the same thing... read the reviews, call the BBB, we're a member of something or another... The last interview was with Mike of Interstate Contracted Movers and he was different. He told me not to believe anything anyone told me... find out the truth for yourself. Get the US DOT number on every moving company and call the feds. Ask how many consumer complaints and federal violations each company had on them and then decide who was a good company, so I did and was I ever surprised. Most of them had several issues with DOT. Two of them had over 20. Only one was squeaky clean. Remembering back, it was the company that some of the others badmouthed. Going through all the quotes again, I noticed that the price Mike gave me was the 2nd lowest and the lowest was one of the worst rated by DOT, so my decision was final. I called mike with Interstate Contracted Movers. On move day, still being skeptical, I read every paper before signing, watched everything the movers did, and asked every question I could think of, to the point that I think I was being a pain, but the moving crew stayed well mannered and kept working. At the delivery end was the same crew. They unloaded so fast, putting everything in place, assembling the bed, table and entertainment center. They even hooked up my washer and dryer, and the biggest shock of all was that the price never changed. This turned out to be the best move that I could ever hope and pray for. I would like to thank Mike the Mover, Lee from sales, JR and his crew, the driver that I did not catch his name and anyone else that had a part in my move. I would also like tell anyone considering hiring a moving company... call the US DOT and check all the companies and you will be surprised how many companies get away with screwing their clients. When you find one that is clean, let them do you move and you will be as happy as I am. I never thought I would recommend a moving company to anyone, but Interstate Contracted Movers has my vote. I recently searched for movers online and found out that my information went out to several movers. My voicemail and email stayed full on a daily basis as I screened my calls to answer only my friends and relatives. I received a call with my area code and answered the phone and was I glad. It was Lee from Interstate Contracted Movers and he insisted that I let Mike come and give me an onsite estimate. They both showed up at my house and were very professional. Not only did they give me a binding quote, Mike himself along with two other hard working movers agreed to move my belongings. On the day of my move they showed up with all new packing materials and packed my stuff really careful. All of my furniture was shrink wrapped and padded. Before I knew it the truck was loaded and they were on their way to my new home. 3 days latter, at my new home everything arrived in the condition that it was picked up and the price was the same as the binding quote, not one dime more. Thank you guys for making a stressful situation into a very good experience. Everyone told me that I will hate moving after I’m done, but I will recommend you to all my friends and relatives. I still hate moving, but it was a good move!

Like everyone else, I read all the bad things about the moving industry, but had to pick a company to move me to Iowa. After visiting the offices of 4 companies, I chose Interstate Contracted Movers. They made me feel at ease and my move from Nevada to Iowa was great. The owner was nice and gave me lots of advice showing me information about the industry that the other 3 didn’t. On move day the drivers were very prompt and courteous. Usually after a move, I have spent precious time digging through boxes and furniture just to locate an item that is needed right then. But the movers at IC Movers packed everything by labeling all the boxes so that everything was easy to find after! At the delivery end, they put all the boxes in the rooms by labels, and it worked great. I usually do not leave reviews, but these guys did a great gob for us and deserve a big thank you.
