Field Operations is a part of the city of Las Vegas. It is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and repair of the fleet of vehicles and equipment owned by the city. The department maintains a transportation center and the city ride bus service. It offers maintenance and cleaning services for more than 150 city buildings and over 40 parks. The department also provides maintenance services for nearly 1,250 miles of roadways. Additionally, its responsibilities include street sweeping and storm drain, flood control and sanitary sewer system maintenance. The department reviews and approves private maintenance requirements.
