Although I've never stayed here....

I always visit for their Carnival Buffet when I am in Vegas! It is absolutely excellent....so much delicious food you just can't choose where to start in the line! The wait staff is very attentive and you definately leave feeling like you got your monies worth! I suggest getting there early because it's no secret and the lines back up quickly!

Because the hotel/casino is not directly on the strip, I suggest you also take advantage of the Parade in the Sky after your belly is full! It's definately fun and directly on top of the casino. It's definately worth seeing on your next visit to Las Vegas!

Highly Recommended

There are lots of good things going on here. Since this is a Harrah's property, customer service is top-notch. Buffet food at The Rio has captured some exceptional ratings from noted food critics. The Rio doesn't have the "Wow" factor of others. In addition, it is off the Strip. However, I saw many buses outside and many of those were local. This is a good place to go.

Fun Casino and nice rooms

I've stayed four times here. It has become my favorite place to stay and play. The rooms are much nicer than most, with a sitting area and refridgerator. The casino has hourly Mardi Gras entertainment and a quiet side. The restaurants that I've been to there were great food for the right price. It has 2 LARGE buffets
