This restaurant, newly taken over by the Marriott, is a great spot for locals. I'm sure as word gets out, it's gonna be a local's fav. hot spot. There is an out door koi pond & window seats w/ views of waterfalls and ponds....it's absolutely beautiful! The menu's new too. I love their concept of social dining, lots of appetizer portioned dishes they call, 'Sharing Plates'. The rock shrimp crunch was a big hit at our table( citrus sweet n spicy). I loved the seafood ceviche too(very fresh tasting). They host a small selection of french/Japanese entres as well. The miriad of flavors in the surf n turf from the dining side(they also have a surf n turf in their Teppan Yaki menu) was exquisit! Our wine marinated Filet' Mignon and the Miso Glazed Salmon were cooked to perfection...oh and the Wasabi Mash Potatoes were a fun take off the traditional! The server was great. She was very knowledgeable and delivered service that balanced authentic Japanese style w/ western fine dining experience. We were well taken care of. The Chu Toro and Kanpachi nigiri we tried were great and so was the price(you've got go see that for yourself). The sushi chefs seemed very friendly. Even though we sat in the dining room they greeted us on our way in and out. If you've never been there or if it's been more than 2 mo. since you've been, I highly recommend going in to check them out. They've changed a lot...for the better!!!
