Provided by YP.comVery impersonal, cold, money-squeezing place. My roommate and I have lived here for 6 years (!), always paying our rent on time. This month due to some electronic error, the bank payment was returned. I called the agent in the office who has known us for 6 years on the 4th in the morning (last day for rent is 3d midnight) explaining, ready to make immediate manual transfer from bank account, begging to wave over $80 late fee as a courtesy to long-term tenants. The answer I got was very short; “New policy. Nothing can be done. No, there is no manager here to talk to. Bye". I am not a loyal customer here, and not even a person-just a number generating revenue. Very heartbreaking and very bad customer service.

Provided by YP.comThree words: EXPENSIVE, NOISY, UNSAFE.
EXPENSIVE: The rent for a small, 2-bedroom-2-bath apartment is over $1000. They add to monthly rent Mgmt/Assoc Fee $14, and technology package $100, which is COX cable and hi-speed wireless Internet. You have to purchase it, or you won't be moving in. I'm actually checking whether it is even legal to force residents of apartment complex to purchase third party services. Obviously, they must be getting huge payout from COX. Mind you, you won't be able to take those services with you once you are moving out. You also have to purchase renters insurance-additional $20 per month at least-probably due to the history of burglaries-read the last paragraph. The monthly water bill is not your usage-it's the overall apartment complex usage including people from outside the complex using pool showers etc divided equally among all residents. I didn't know that at the beginning so I was trying to use water responsibly, considering the water problems in Nevada. Don't bother-Camden del Mar does not care about that-if they did, they would spend money on water meters. But environment, or residents, are not their concern - the money in their pockets is their only concern. Additionally, they are repainting right now all the buildings in dark brown, green and black colors - that will drive your energy bill for air conditioning significantly, considering that window and door frames are crooked, and leak cold air in summer, and heat in winter. I have never seen painting buildings in brown and black in the desert, but maybe they also decided to help Nevada Energy to get additional profit - the monthly energy bill during summer could have easily been $70 - expect it to rise a lot now since the dark paint absorbs more heat and keeps the building hot. Finally, every time you re-sign the lease, there is an increase of at least $100 - there is no reward for loyalty here. Yet again - only their pockets matter.
NOISY: Every day from 8am till 4pm you feel as if you are in the middle of construction-slash-war zone. That has been going for months now, and is expected to continue for months to come.
UNSAFE: Since I pay way over $1000 per month and we are located in Summerlin, I expected a certain level of security and safety that part of my money would pay for. But remember how I told you about their only concern being their pockets? So check this out: there is years - years - long history of burglaries, sometimes several per weekend, via perps kicking in the flimsy doors in the middle of the day - sometimes with a resident inside. There is a repeated history of stealing your info from the mailboxes. So let's see what they did to make residents safer.....well, they are painting buildings black...maybe to scare criminals away?.. Because: the gate is still wide open from 6am till 11 pm without anyone on the gate - if there was somebody, they would have to pay him; if the gate was closed, they would have to install the system for residents to open the gate for quests (THERE IS NONE!!), and they would have to move their lazy finger not only to buzz the construction crews in, but somehow do it at 8 in the morning. The building with mailboxes have no lock, and although they said they installed cameras inside, the break ins are happening like there is no tomorrow, so my guess is, the cameras are not hooked up. To put a lock on the door, to give residents keys, to let mailman inside, to actually have working camera - c'mon, that's money OUT OF THEIR POCKETS!
It sure looks pretty here though... this complex is like a beautiful woman who will cost you fortune and give you a lot of headache...literally!

Provided by YP.comTHE NOISE LEVEL UNLIVABLE!! If you have a small child that needs to sleep during the day-DO NOT MOVE IN. If you are working late or nights and you need to sleep in-DO NOT MOVE IN. If you are a student who needs peace and quiet to study-DO NOT MOVE IN. From drunk loud people at 4 am to milking-the-clock leaf blowing guy who starts at 8 am and will be around your building for 45 minutes, to annoying MONTHS - LONG projects with banging and screeching and power-washing and guys looking through your windows while you are still sleeping-that also require you to move your car, to move your staff from patio, to move your car again, to have no parking space for a week and having to park OUTSIDE in some restaurant parking lot for a night-it's NEVER QUIET there. A few nights ago I called what I thought was security number to let them know that there are people still unloading their u-haul at 2 am, banging the doors, putting staff on dollies, talking loudly etc. The teenage-voice girl on the phone told me that "security will not COME OUT FOR THIS because people can be moving in the middle of the night" and that i should call Police and make noise complaint. So - THERE IS NO SECURITY AT NIGHT here, since they have to "come out from somewhere", and you can bother Police with night noise, but don't bother them! And now, not only will they push on you COX CABLE as part of rent, but you will also have to pay for wireless hi-speed COX INTERNET. How much is Cox paying THEM to force people to sign up for Cox services, and what will they force you to pay for next, whether your want it or not, as long as they get kickbacks from COX?
