Provided by YPmobileMy Son had to be flown in from Needles, Ca for serious burns. The entire staff has been very caring and kind. My Son is still there in the burn unit and I couldn't be happier with the care he is receiving. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my Son.

Provided by YP.comWhat a horrible place, while not every place is good for everyone you would think that resources would be given to families rather than telling them to go home and die. I have never seen such a lack of compassion and knowledge in a hospital. Do they have social workers at this facility, if so none were evident to our family. I could excuse the filth, the lack of privacy, the people begging in the doorways, the scary looking people hanging around had we experienced even the basic tenets of being in the caring professions, but none of that was given. So very glad that I live in a place where we have hospitals that provide for people and there is some expertise in the staff. Will never visit Vegas as I would be terrified to get ill and have to end up in this hell hole.

Provided by YPmobileI went to UMC medical center for two different heart attacks, the 1st saved my life, the 2nd less than 2 yrs later, when i went back, they left me sitting in the waiting room for 13 hrs. The entire right side of my heart died. CANNOT be fixed, so i'm told. If you can make it to the Cath lab, you might have chance. This group are orofessionals. I wouldn't go here ever again in LIFE!

Provided by YP.comIn 2003 I spent 3 mos in umc due to thefact my 13 year old daughter was hit by a truck and was very seriously injured, and wasn't suppose to make it, but thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses and respitory techs, phyical, speech and occupatioal theripists and everyone else tat was invovled in her care. She as able to come home! and made almost a full recovery she is deaf in one ear due to accident and has titaiam rod in her leg due to the accident, but now she is a happy 19 year young women which has her whole life ahead of her. And the 3 mos I stayed there they were wonderful. There was another young girl which she shared a room withafter she got out of the ICU which was was also involved in avery serious motorcycle accident in 2003 which she was the passanger on the bike the driver died instantly leaving her severely injured both legs were broken skull fracture ETC>>. Even after thy had to make room for other patient on the overflow rooms they made sure they stayed together not seperating them cause they got to be friends andthey did well together and thoght they would dobetter recovery wise if they stayed together knowing they almost had the same injurys. And they did! So I give my deepest thanks toUM to their companiate care that my daughter received . And exspeically saving her life, and the life of the young lady in my daughters room.

Provided by YP.comAs a individual with no insurance due to full time schooling and decreased employment oppertunities from the market I was forced to enter the ER in November 2008. I was diagnosed with pneumonia but under went many extensive proceedures to verify pneumonia. The hospital was fully aware I was uninsured but billed me to the fullest extent. Unable to pay for the $9000 bill and unwilling to negotiate I am put into collections where UMC STILL refuses to negotiate. This is how you treat tax paying Americans? I am disgusted, In debt and just extremly dissapointed.
