Established in 1985, BidNet operates under its parent company, International Data Base Corporation, which is one of the leading government bid aggregation and e-procurement service providers. In 2004, IDBC was acquired by Mediagrif Interactive Technologies that is one of the leading developers of e-business networks and providers of complete e-business solutions. The BidNet division, based in Albany, N.Y., has been connecting government and businesses for more than 20 years. It was founded by a group of entrepreneurs to provide a centralized bid distribution and notification service to both government purchasing agencies and the companies who sell to them. The e-procurement division was established in 2000 to create and manage Web sites that enable purchasing agencies to register their vendors and to deliver bid information directly to them.
