Mr. Kahni Melephant, owner of A&A, Painting Plus, Inc., Total Refurbishing Inside & Out, Cell: (954) 560-4048, email; [email protected], and Lic. No. 09BS00704 was hired to paint the exterior of my townhouse in Miami-Dade County. To start off, the original agreed price eventfully had to be renegotiated to a higher price that from the original estimate given to me from a presumed employee of A & A Painting Plus, Inc.

After a few days wait Mr. Melephant eventfully showed up between 10 & 11am to pressure clean the exterior walls and roof tiles by himself. He sparsely pressured cleaned the walls, estimating about 30 to 40 percent of the entire wall area. The duration of pleasure cleaning on my property working was about 4 hours, an impossibility to complete even at his substandard work ethics. The walls looked like zebra stripes, portion cleaned while others weren’t touched. Along with his second-rate workmanship he damaged several items like the air conditioning coils, AC grill and part of its insulation. He also damaged a bar-b-q cover and numerous plants throughout the property.

After about a week wait, Mr. Melephant eventually showed up with two employees, looking more like day-labors picked up from the street. The paint was applied somewhat better than his pressure cleaning but his clean-up was nonexistent. Mr. Melephant was paid by check in-full minus the down payment which was paid earlier.

Within a week or two the paint stated to roll off the walls, mainly where settlement cracks have been patched on the walls from previous paint jobs. I have live on the property since 1982 and the townhouse has been painted by me and other about 8 times and this is the first and only time I have ever seen paint roll off the walls. Of course it’s understandable to see paint roll off since he didn’t pressure clean the old paint off major areas like where settlement cracks were patched.

This by no doubt is the worse paint job I have ever seen on any property, mine or anybody else’s!

I have called, email and even texted pictures to Mr. Melephant with no responds. The only being a reply to the following email;

“Good evening Jorge

We are in receipt of your email regarding the paint job that was recently done. Kahni will contact you no later than Friday to make arrangements to have this addressed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Mr. Melephant cashed payment in full on May 23, 2014 and of course hasn’t responded as the email states he would. I feel Mr. Melephant doesn’t deserve to be permitted to work as a painter in Florida and if he’s truly licensed that should be taken away from him.
