Provided by YP.comUnfortunately, this school has gone downhill ever since the previous principal left and went to Delmarva Christian while the current vice principal of ECS was given the principal title a few years back. Now the leadership is TERRIBLE, no backbone and certainly does not have the children's best interest at heart. As there are a few really great teachers/staff, the majority are inexperienced, uneducated and poor examples of what it means to be a Christian (lots of gossip, lies and insincerity). I've seen teachers lie on ADHD reports, not let small children go to the bathroom due to inconvenience, take advantage of the fundraisers and see the new principal lose his temper, start yelling in front of children and act like a maniac. Leadership starts at the top so it's no wonder why this school is falling apart.
I knew the academics weren't the best but once the negative environment starting impacting my child, it was time to find somewhere else!
Several people have already left and I strongly urge you to do your research before enrolling your child here. Start with calling the main office - you will probably get a very condescending Miss Dana and I'm sure you will get a glimpse of how ECS operates.

Provided by YPmobileThis school is great! Friendly staff that really does care about their students. They just renovated a building to create a brand new early childhood education center. The location is accurate on google. There are smartboards in most classrooms.

Provided by YP.comEpworth does a great job with partnering with parents and each student is loved.
This is an amazing school. This school just put down a new gym floor in 2012!
The new child development center for Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 is absolutely phenomenal.
They have an awesome new tech lab! With new Google Chromebooks, Chromecast, and Apple TV's. Epworth also gives out scholarships to families who can't afford the full tuition. They have Chapel every Wednesday's which helped my children from becoming Christian to actual followers of Jesus!

Provided by YP.comThey evidently need additional training on how to handle a four year old who gets upset. Rather than work with him; they immediately dismiss him from their summer camp program. I have concerns that if they can't deal with a four year old, that they lack the training, caring and commpassion for any student.
