CALMRA is also known as Christian Assisted Living for Mentally Retarded Adults and is located in Beltsville, Md. It improves the lives of persons with developmental disabilities by providing the residential and other support services in a caring environment. It serves adults with developmental disabilities. It provides 24 hours assistance in all areas of living, including eating, bathing dressing and transportation. CALMRA has partnership with the state of Maryland, and the Developmental Disabilities Administration and serves individuals from state residential centers as well as the community. It also provides a wide array of services to individuals who live in their homes but still need some support. It offers services to persons suffering from cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mental disability and illness and speech impairment.
