Established in 1948, Nora Davis Magnet School serves more than 350 students and employs over 45 staff members. It offers educational services to students in kindergarten through grade six. The school provides classes in science, social studies, vocabulary, grammar, art, reading and math. Located in Laurel, Miss., the school s curriculum also includes art, music, communication arts, and health and physical education. The school s library houses a variety of picture dictionaries, storybooks, puzzles, newspapers, magazines, and fiction and nonfiction books. Nora Davis Magnet School provides food, transportation and medical services. The magnet school is a part of the Laurel School District, which operates several educational facilities.
