Laurel High School is a learning center that provides a variety of educational programs for students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, science, English, social studies, art, Spanish, physical education, music, computer applications and language arts. The school additionally provides special education and Title I programs for gifted and talented students. It maintains a library that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of leisure reading options for students. The school also operates a parent-teacher organization, Parents Involved in Education, which encourages parental involvement in their children s education. It offers a range of sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, baseball, wrestling, golf, football, and track and field.
