Burns Middle School offers academic programs and extracurricular activities to students in grades six through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students. Located in Lawndale, N.C., Burns Middle School features more than 50 classrooms, nearly 10 computer labs; a band room, gymnasium facility, theater and commons area. The middle school offers several athletic activities in its physical education program, such as football, softball, wrestling, soccer, volleyball, tennis and golf. The school s core curriculum includes a variety of subjects, such as math, science, English, social studies, language arts and physical education. Burns Middle School also organizes regular fire drills.
