It took months for them to complete repairs. The repairs to my transmission failed in a month. It took them 6 weeks to complete the repairs on my vehicle for the second time. Then, the repairs failed after 20 hours. After 3 weeks of waiting for further repairs, I gave up and retrieved my vehicle. At one point, I was unable to reach anyone by phone for days on end. He refused to give me a timeline, and even yelled and cussed at me at one point for asking. My vehicle sat in his lot untouched for over a month. I called another time and no one seemed to know that my vehicle was even there to be repaired. THEY BROKE MY RUNNING BOARD AND DENIED IT. These guys just honestly don’t care. They are unprofessional, rude, and probably the worst mechanics in Lawrence in terms of performance. In all, I think Tim (the owner) gave me 10-15 excuses for why he couldn’t complete any repairs in a reasonable timeline. This place is a joke, go anywhere else.

Horrible experience at this place. Very unprofessional and will extort you for money! I went there to just get a check up and they charged me $64 for just a few minutes of work for a diagnosis. Then when I decided I didn't want a part ordered the mechanic say it was "impossible" to return the part and I would be charged "15%" no matter what for a questionable restocking fee even though the part was not shipped yet. I will NEVER go back to this place. I give 0% Zero Rating if possible.

I was thrilled about the entire experience and wanted to make sure everyone else heard about this place. If you are looking for a trustworthy honest mechanic, this is the place!

Great service all the time. I always come to A-1 Automotive to keep my car in good maintenance. I already consider some of the mechanics like friends. Good auto shop.

I come here often. I have a Honda Accord that runs great. By now I just come in and leave it in their hands. I will get an oil change, tune- up, routine work and if there is a need to do anything, else the techs will explain and show me what needs to be done. I have kept my car well maintained thanks to these guys. In 2 years I have not had to get any great repair. Thanks for the honesty and excellent customer service.

When I recently had a need for expert repairs for my brakes, I asked a fellow coworker about the best repair facility to take my car. He immediately recommended A-1 automotive which has been under the expert ownership of Tim Wudarczyk. In addition to the extensive vehicle experience, I felt the service was professional.

Everyone is great at A1. I've recommended them to everyone. They're willing to fix things instead of just replacing everything that breaks down. This saves you money.

I took a car I was looking into buying here to be checked out before purchase. A1 had the wheels taken off, the car lifted, and drove the car. He must have spent near an hour checking out the car and found a number of faults that were not apparent to the layman. The car was listed at $6500, I MAY have been able to talk it down to $6000 myself, but I bought the car for $5700 with his help.

I've been going there for over 6 years and he always gets the job done, gives reasonable prices, and has time to talk to me even when i just drop by without any appointment. I LOVE this place and wouldn't think about anyone else touching my car. Now my sister goes there too and she is a very happy car owner. She went there a month ago for some transmission problems and they fixed her toyota RAV4 for her.

I was referred to A-1 last year by a long time friend. They have been nothing but marvelous! I'm a very satisfied customer, very reasonable with his Labor prices to install a Brake Hub $60.00 and Only $40.00 installation for my Radiator. He will explain everything to you in complete detail. I will keep on going back to him for all of my Truck repairs, and will definitely recommend him to all of my friends.
