I am a quilter and after about thirty some years, my expensive scissors needed sharpening. I called and got an answering machine. Soon after, I received a call from Mrs. Jensen, who wanted to tell me they were leaving town for a few days but I could have them sharpened if I brought them in that day. Such service! There was a lovely backyard with a pond and fish to entertain me as I waited. The cost was modest. Mr. Jensen sharpens a variety of tools and even rotary cutters. Just a note: sixth street does not run all the way through. This shop is in North Lawrence. Use Lake Street and turn right onto 6th. The shop is the first on the right. I highly recommend this shop!

This service was outstanding, immediate, and top of the line professional; the cost so low that I insisted on paying more yet my offer was met with an even firmer yet very kindly insistence that all customers were charged the same and that there were no exceptions. The variety of sharpening services are beyond compare. As an avid gardener and seamstress with a large myriad of gardening tools and sewing scissors and shears, this locally owned business is able to sharpen every type to include even my rotary sewing blades! Perhaps this testimony sounds surreal but this service is exactly that!!

Took a chance with a new business. Couldn't be more impressed with prompt attention, excellent service, and sincere hard-working folks just "doin what they know how to do!". Will recommend to everyone that I know who needs chainsaw blades sharpened!
