Lawrence Public Schools serve approximately 11,000 students from prekindergarten through grade 12. Located in Lawrence, Kan., the school offers parents as teachers program for families of children from birth to age 3. It also specializes in adult basic education, English as a second language courses and general educational development (GED) test. Lawrence Public Schools operates approximately 22-school campuses, including a prekindergarten program, 15 elementary schools, four junior high schools, two comprehensive high schools and a virtual high school.
