I lived there in 2009-2011. When I left, they gave me ZERO of my security deposit back. They said it was because of all of the cigarette smoking stains - I DO NOT SMOKE!!! Bunch of crooks and liars; and more recently, there have been deaths in the area (kid who killed his grandmother 2015, 23 year old shot and killed 2014); My goodness! What goes around comes around.

DO NOT TRUST THEM! They lied to me about everything. Very shady. Do not live at any of the apartments that they manage - Northwinds, Villas, Crosswinds, or Windgate. They might be the least trustworthy people in Lawrence, KS

I completely agree with the review. They are TERRIBLE. They will say anything to get you sign the lease. They don't even repair anything before you move in and it took them 3-month to fix a big hole on the window. Expecting to get most of the deposit back? NO WAY! They overcharge everything after you move out and they will completely ignore you. We did not have any pets, so I can't attest to any of the remarks about the pet rent or inspections but I can say I'm not surprised by these comments. NEVER LIVE THERE!!

Security Deposit Hasstlers, confused disorganized management, tell you anything on the phone or to your face to get you to sign a lease, few units are actually pet available, video your move-in and move-out... it won't matter if you leave that unit in amazingly clean condition, they're going to try to charge you for every penny, full paint, carpet clean, even things you've replaced, they'll send you a bill to replace them.. if you're renting there now, prepare yourself for move out and don't be surprised when they try to act rushed or confused, that's their way of poorly documenting the unit's condition... terribly disorganized management... GOOD REPAIRMEN always came the next day ususally.... expect a fight all the way to the courtroom to get all your deposit back. I'm not exaggerating, they've been doing this for years and are good at what they do.
