Take it from someone who used to be an insider here and be really careful if you decide to purchase furniture from them. They do not screen their delivery drivers - half the time they don't even check to see if the driver has a license, and they probably don't have his name on file. They rip people off every single day. I promise you, it is not worth getting a good deal. I have seen them lie and cheat customers on a daily basis. Be very wary. The owners work in the store, Bob and Stella. Bob is racist and Stella - the loud one behind the counter - is probably drunk and/or high while she's processing your credit cards.

Pay-Less Furniture is boss. Their prices are stupid low. Wonderful service, and a great staff.

The customer service at Pay less is great. He helped me decide on a mattress. It was a great deal and I am very happy with it.

I made a purchase for a delivery of an item that was never received. I bought 900 dollars of furniture from payless furniture and the delivery never arrived. When I called to question why, I was told the item I paid for did not exist. Despite it being on my ticket, they were not going to send me my items. The merchant has not refunded my money and I am afraid I have been a victim of fraud. Here is the information:

Payless furniture has great low prices but that comes with VERY low customer service. They are not very eager to help anyone unless you approach them and then they take FOREVER to go get the items you pay for. Way too much standing around and cellphone use. Really wish Lawrence had another reasonable furniture store.

My husband and I have been looking for a pillow top mattress. We bought one at Payless. The other 2 stores we shopped supposedly had big sales on, but Payless had the best price - and their mattress was not only cheaper, but plusher and beefier, too.

Payless has a great layaway program. They gave me a year to pay it off.

I was looking at a sofa at a national chain in Lawrence and asked the salesman when it was going on sale. He said it was already half price. What a joke! When I went to Payless Furniture their every day price was half of that!

My advice: Shop Payless Furniture in Lawrence. As a rule they have better deals.

Had a problem with a mattress I bought at Payless Furniture 2 years ago. They gave me full credit toward a new mattress. No complaints. I’ll go back.

Shopped the Payless store looking to furnish my daughter's apartment (she's going to KU.) The store was packed with everything she needed. All at very reasonable prices.

Expected cheap furniture, but was surprised by the quality and selection at low prices.

The first time I shopped Payless was maybe ten years ago. It was back when they were doing advertising I found objectionable. Now that they've changed their advertising, I decided to give them another try. When I went in today, I talked with two sales guys. Both of them were very nice and helpful young men. I bought a bed which they are delivering tomorrow.

Over the years I've made a lot of purchases from Payless. I've always been satisfied with the high quality of their products and especially the great prices.

It was nice going to a place where I was greeted with a genuinely friendly smile! Everyone was happy to help and were patient with all my questions.

I checked Payless Furniture out when I was in Lawrence... I was surprised to find so much stuff that I liked! Sweet prices.

I went to Payless Furniture for the first time recently and I really liked how they salespeople weren't pushy. They answered my questions when I had them and otherwise left me to browse and find what I liked without being directed to what they wanted me to buy.

I went to Payless to buy my sofa. Used their store credit program. Excellent prices. I'm getting my bed there next month!

I thought about renting furniture but I knew those deals are rip offs. I came by Payless to look around and decided to buy my furniture there. It cost about a fourth of what the rent-to-own cost would have been. I saved at least a thousand!

Payless Furniture has great prices.. found a lot of nice things id like to buy..I would definitely recommend Payless to anyone
