Established in 1843, Child & Family Services is one of the oldest nonprofit organizations in southeastern Massachusetts. It offers a range of community-based services in the areas of adoption, acute treatment, outreach, and mental and behavioral health. The organization administers the Parent Mentor Program, which includes educational, advocacy, support, guidance and treatment services for at-risk children and families. Child & Family Services also provides various traditional counseling, homemaking, behavior modification, medication management and respite services through its empowerment programs. It conducts several projects that provide food, clothing, gifts, and meals for families and individuals. Additionally, the organization participates in various events, such as bowling and golf tournaments. Child & Family Services maintains a location in Lawrence, Mass.
