Provided by YPmobileI would not take your worst enemy to this place.
To start off our family had to clean the room because it was not being done enough by the employees. We also noticed when we went to ask one of the nurses, who was distributing the patients medication, she seemed to be a little out of it and was constantly rubbing her nose. Another family member personally asked the doctor on campus to go see our relative because we thought he may have pneumonia and she said she would go back to see him. Without her going to his room to see him she called in one prescription and then called back to change it. How would she know what medications he would need without going to check in him? The next morning our family called until they agreed to transport him over to the hospital, they took him out in single digit temperatures without even putting his shoes on him. Once at the hospital the doctors confirmed it was pneumonia and that there was blood in his urine. When the hospital called Ridgewood to ask how long this had been going on they didn't know. If your looking for an attractive campus but less than minimal care this is the place.

Provided by YP.comMy mother spent the last 18 months of her life here and it was by far the unhappiest time of her life. While the campus itself is lovely, the individual care of each resident is lacking in every area. Nurses and aides only come in when it's scheduled time for medications or meals. Food is not tasty and very unappetizing; in fact, the loaf of bread left for Mom became moldy and NO ONE removed it until I complained. I agree with the previous reviewer that the doctor on call is absolutely worthless, just throwing medications at residents. I had to insist that she send Mom to the hospital on 2 occasions. Forget any one on one social attention. Mom was a rather shy person and very few of the staff even tried to engage her and when she didn't immediately respond, they just gave up on her. I'm so sorry that she had to spend her last days here. PLEASE do your research and ask resident's families before you make arrangements to place your loved one here.
